THOR & JENNIFER BUENO

Capturing the magical aspect of glass in its liquid state is the inspiration for the collaborative work of Jennifer and Thor Bueno, of North Carolina. The Buenos' blown glass Lascaux Series takes its name from the the ancient cave drawings in France the patterns reference. Reminiscent of river rocks, the series is created by sand-blasting forms, built up from layers of glass powders. The Buenos have also made large-scale commissions of their wall-mounted, mirrored "stones".
