News

Blue Spiral 1's very own Hannah Skoonberg was one of forty four selected print artists for this years IPCNY New Prints Winter Show.

The New Prints series is a highly competitive show that is held three times a year. The International Print Center New York is a non-profit Chelsea gallery devoted solely to the exhibition and understanding of fine art prints.

The show was selected by: Noah Breuer (Artist, Professor, Master Printer), Terry Fassburg (Collector), Richard Lloyd (Head of Christies Print Department), Mary Newman (IPCNY board member), Andre Ribouli (Master Printer), and Madeleine Viljoen (Curator of Prints, New York Public Library).

The jurors selected 44 artists out of about 2,000 applicants. Hannah's print that was selected is a cyanotype woodcut diptych entitled, "Corridor" (pictured).

To the right is a picture that Hanna sent us at the gallery of the show. When asked by gallery staff how the show was, she replied, "The show in NY was amazing! My print was featured front and center and was very well received!"

The show is up from Jan 22 - March 12.
