Nichols' hyper-realistic landscape paintings are joined by images of shadow play on architecture, machinery, and still life compositions that often develop trompe l'œil qualities. Baskin’s textural ceramic sculptures use the metaphor of industry to conceptually allude to relationships and interconnectedness.
