Bill Green is a photographer and illustrator exploring the idea of lost America wherever he finds it. A resident of Weaverville, NC, he is focused on documenting the heritage of rural life and stories found therein.
"My ongoing body of work reflects the themes of loss, decay and failure. Specifically, the failure of the American dream and what I was raised to believe it meant. No matter what stage of life these places may be in when I first come across them, they’re part of the same story. A few locations have been either demolished or otherwise altered since I first shot them. The others which have remained mostly intact are reminders of better times full of hope. And so it will continue."
