Scherer studied with NW Master William Cumming, whom she met at the Art Institute of Seattle, in 1984. His influence was instrumental in her understanding of color, design and its use in painting. Amy passes along years of experience and wisdom to her own students now as well as pursuing her full time career as a professional artist in Washington State.
