Bonsai comes indoors and heads to Blue Spiral 1 for an extraordinary ten-day Bonsai as Fine Art exhibition; the first of its kind in Asheville. The show includes 20 works by professional bonsai artists and members of the Blue Ridge Bonsai Society, exhibited alongside the works featured in, "Beyond the Horizon".

Special events and educational programs are planned during the run of Bonsai as Fine Art at Blue Spiral 1 and The North Carolina Arboretum. A culminating weekend at the Arboretum invites visitors to enjoy the Bonsai Exhibition Garden, where fine art, landscape design, and horticultural skill come together to highlight the Arboretum’s world-renowned bonsai collection.

Friday, June 2, 5 - 8 pm: Opening Reception for the “Bonsai as Fine Art” Exhibition. Open to the general public and invited guests.

Saturday, June 3, 2 pm: "Transforming Plant Material into Fine Art." Bonsai Styling Demonstration with Bjorn Bjorholm.
