Georgia-based artist, Harvey Meyer strategically turns wood vessels to resemble woven basketry, also known as “basket illusion”. Meyer embellishes the surfaces of his turnings by piercing, burning, coloring, carving, and texturing; resulting in a semblance of cleverly executed vessels.
