Naturalistic painter, Luke Allsbrook, and basket maker, Carol Hetzel present new collections of work that draw from nature. Allsbrook explores the landscape through contemporary realism; Lowlands, plowed fields, and sundrenched hillsides are deftly painted to evoke a heightened reality. Hetzel’s baskets draw from traditional weaving techniques and are woven from hand-dyed reeds; Each basket is complemented by the unexpected use of interwoven steel cables.
